Beers at Elmar's in the Valley

A key feature of Elmar’s in the Valley is a giant glass kettle, used to enhance the flavours and purity of the beers. The container is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere and is testimony to Elmar’s passion to produce a perfect brew.

Elmar’s beers are brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law formed in 1516, which states the only ingredients used for the brewing of beer must be barley, hops and water. Elmar uses only the freshest ingredients imported directly from Germany. His beer is not filtered and retains all the natural proteins, yeast and the whole vitamin B group. All of Elmar’s beers are free from preservatives and chemicals.

Ein Stein Pilsner is designed for the smart thinker, people wishing to get some real intelligence from a beer, whoever thought a beer could be this smart. This beer is full of bitter-sweet fruitiness with a beautifully dry middle range and a bitter pils finish - how smart is that.

Kick Back Wheat Beer
4.8% Alcohol
Kick Back Wheat Beer; ideal for the man on the land, something with kick that can quench that thirst after some real hard yakka. Kick Backs wheat yeast blasts you with the evocative slightly sour, grainy aroma, then fills the mouth with banana before a long astringent faintly tangerine aftertaste. To satisfy a real thirst Kick Back will do the trick.

Over Draft Ait Ale

Over Draft Ait Ale; a beer for Bankers and Accountants because of its fine balance every time, this beer will never leave a debit with your taste buds. The big flavour lift comes from the darker coloured style Ait beer. All sorts of fruit tickle the taste buds and run hop spices over the tongue, balanced with medium bitterness and ending long and dry but always perfectly balanced.
